Gaia

As a child, Gaia was fascinated with sexuality, and she wanted to be a nun. In Tantra, she found a way to bridge these interests. Gaia’s experiential study of Tantra began in 1987 while completing a degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies at NYU and working as an erotic dancer. She sees Tantra as a path of integration and joyful expansion, uniting practice with play, body with awareness, self with other, light with shadow and sex with spirit. As a Certified Skydancing Tantra Teacher, Gaia combines the art of embodiment with the science of awareness, and fuses ancient wisdom into a modern context. She weaves together 21 years of work in Tantra, Yoga, Shamanic Healing, psychology, self-inquiry, movement, breath and bodywork, ritual and performance. Gaia offers transformational workshops, weeklong retreats and private sessions. She facilitates groups in Thailand, India, France and across the United States.
