Glenn Bourdot
The first inkling Glenn had that the human body was okay, really okay, was upon reading Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass in the late 60’s. This light-bulb moment led to his enduring passion for discovering and feeling all the ways that Spirit manifests as "body".
Whether busking in the streets of New Orleans, studying meditation in California and New York in the 70’s ,or assisting in the home-birthing and home-schooling of his four children, he has consistently focused on resolving the apparent dilemma of the body/mind split. Is there really such a "split"? How does one come into harmony with one's own sacred energy of Life and "sing the body electric"?
Years of studying and teaching Re-Evaluation Counseling and Tai-Chi, organizing community and sacred theater, as well as doing men's work and massage, all led to his eventual realization that we are collectively hiding from this sacred life energy, denying our inherent state of ecstasy. To the extent that we can speak of it at all, we call it sexuality, and confine it to our genitals... "down there".
Ongoing studies with heart-master Adi Da Samraj and his student Franz Bakker eventually led him to the work of Margot Anand. In her company, he encountered a practical and very comprehensive system for honoring the whole body and a way of moving beyond the fear that inhibits our sacred and sexual growth. He became a teacher-in-training with her in 2006.
Glenn's contagious enthusiasm, encyclopedic wisdom and unique style of offering relationship as a way of teaching mark him as a leader to watch. He teaches groups and classes in the Minneapolis area on his own, and co-facilitates Sky-Dancing Tantra workshops and retreats with his beloved partner Diana Owens, a certified SkyDancing Tantra Teacher, throughout Arizona and other states.
